The Village Hall is owned by Staple Parish Council and is managed on behalf of the parishioners by a committee of elected members, plus appointed representatives of village organisations.
FOR THE PURPOSES OF A VILLAGE HALL AND RECREATION GROUND FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF STAPLE IN THE COUNTY OF KENT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES AND FOR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS
The Millennium Commission (a legacy body of the Big Lottery Fund) awarded Action for Communities in Rural England (‘ACRE’) £10.5 million to deliver funding to 160 village halls in England, (ACRE's "21st Century Halls for England" Project). Staple Village Hall received a £123,500 grant under the programme. ( n.b. Staple Village Hall & Recreation Ground Management Committee are not members of ACRE).
